<p>Reviewing my application a second time, that time being after I submitted my application, I noticed that I selected ROTC cadet or NROTC midshipman under U.S. Military Service. I am applying to AFROTC and plan to partake in it, however I am not currently in it. Was my marking of this field incorrect?</p>

<p>@Ferrata524: At a minimum, I would contact the university, explain that this was an honest error, and ask what the “next step” should be. In that way, you’re covered were admissions to say that they’ll change it or say not to worry about it. What I would NOT do is ignore this mistake; many individuals are understandably sensitive when people who have never served claim veteran’s status (although ROTC is not considered “service,” as normally – by regulation and by statute – defined by either DoD or VA).</p>
