How important is it to put your parents' income from 2007/2006 on the application if you're going to send in a FAFSA anyway?

I'm really scrambling to get this info, and I don't think I can in time.

I'm really scrambling to get this info, and I don't think I can in time.

it's only important if you are low income, bcos the UCs give a tip factor to 'low ec' kids under comprehensive review. If you are not low income, you can leave it blank.

wouldn't my FAFSA better verify that I am low income? I don't understand why it's necessary to include income on two applications form: admission and financial aid.

anybody else have some advice? I'm kinda stressing here

yes, but fafsa goes to the FinAid office, and Admissions will never see it. Just put down an approximate $ amount. Use last year's tax returns and adjust up or down based on current factors.

On the UC app, if your stated income is low enough, I believe you get a fee waiver. And, as bluebayou said, low income is a tip factor.

You are assuming that admissions has access to FAFSA information once it is submitted. I do not know if that is correct but FAFSA isn't due until Mar 1 (kind of late for admissions).
