I recently submitted my application to the Universities of California. I have been a state resident since August, but accidentally checked “no” on the residency box where it said have I lived here for over three years or will graduate from a California high school. The application says I have lived in CA as of August, has my permanent mailing address as CA, has my California State Student ID, and shows that I am enrolled in and will earn a diploma from a California high school in June 2018. Is this enough for my officer to know it was an error and that I am a state resident? Does the mistake have a serious impact on my admission chances? If so, what should I do? I cannot change the selection on the my UC app website.
You will have to fill out an SLR (statement of legal residency) on-line form from the UC you will eventually enroll in so you can make that change later. It would not hurt to send an email to the following address just to be sure.
