UC app tax question!

This is a monumentally stupid question that I know I should know the answer to, but I don't. :(

In the Family Size and Income section of the 'About You' part, the 2009 household gross income refers to the tax information filed by April 15th, 2010, right? And so 2010's information will be filed in 2011? So then, if I don't have my W-2 form and won't until mid-December, exactly what am I supposed to put for 2010? Should I guess or leave it blank?

What’s your salary? It shouldn’t be too difficult to calculate your projected annual income. My mother had three different salaries this year for a few months each (one job change, and at the new job she started out at a higher salary with no benefits before dropping to a lower salary with benefits). I took each yearly salary level, divided by 365, multiplied by the number of days she was at that salary, and added it all up.

Is it a guess? Estimate is probably a better word, and you should be able to get pretty close.

If only I had something as nice as a salary. laughs But thank you, I did something similar to what you suggested to estimate my income, and now I’m depressed for a whole new reason. :P
