UC App Unit Error

Hi,
So I was accepted to UCLA, and as I was intending to SIR, I wanted to look at my UC App to reference some of the information that I had put down. While doing this, I noticed that in the computer science classes that I stated I had completed/were in progress, the unit count was incorrect. I’m not sure how it happened, because I had thought that the units for each class were tied to the class code you entered, so I’m not entirely sure where this error had come from. What should I do, if anything? Should I email UC admissions and make note of this error?

Could the different numbers be due to conversion between semesters and quarters?

1 semester unit = 1.5 quarter unit

@ucbalumnus I believe it is because my CC recently reworked the CS program, changing how units were distributed for some of the classes.

Well if it puts you above 60 semester it should be okay. If it’s from a CCC the app auto-imports it so like @ucbalumnus said it might be converting to quarter or semester. If it’s from a CCC I’d ignore it because all the classes that are transferable are inputted in the system.

@Ohm888 So do you think I’ll be okay just leaving it? I’m just afraid that LA will rescind me for my app showing units inconsistent with what will ultimately be submitted on my transcript.

Well is it from a CCC? If so you didn’t input it. The app does. You could send a msg and just say you’re noticing a discrepancy from your transcript vs the app.

Keep in mind there might be unit limitations, meaning you took a similar class and they’re not giving you full credit on the other.

No one can help you more than generic answers if you do not specify what CC, what course(s), and what units you believe them to be versus what units show.
