<p>I don't think so. Educational Prep Programs are defined on page 13 of the written instructions and they are specific programs with specific 2-digit codes. The instructions say "If you have participated in any of the educational preparation programs THAT ARE LISTED BELOW (and it goes on to list them), enter the name(s) and corresponding two-digit code...."
Most of these programs are outreach and recruitment programs like MESA, Upward Bound, etc., or they're programs where you pay good money for classes like in ATDP (UC Berkeley's summer school for gifted high schoolers) or UCCP (which is online college prep courses costing over $300), etc.</p>
<p>If I recall correctly (correct me if I'm wrong), academic decathalon is more like a competition almost like debate team.</p>
<p>However, if you are trying to free up more space for your EC's, you might enter the code for "Other" in Educ Prep Programs and explain aca deca but it doesn't quite fit into the same category. (But then again, who cares - so many applicants make this mistake)</p>
