Uc app

I am ready to submit my application, but i got this message. "Your academic history indicates you are currently enrolled in a college. However, the coursework you have entered does not include either courses you currently have in progress or those you plan to take (or both).
Check box to confirm that this is what you intended to submit". I entered all my courses, so am i supposed to just check the box?

I’m getting this message, too. Maybe it’s just me, but the wording is a little confusing, LOL!

Did you guys include the courses that you plan to take for Spring 2010?

Yes i put my “in progress” courses for this semester, as well as my “planned courses” for Spring '10. I kept on getting this message, but i checked the box and submitted my app. Is that ok?

Yeah, you should be fine as long as you entered every class you have taken.

Ok Thanks Revelle.

Yep, I, too, entered all the courses I am currently taking as well as the ones I have not yet taken. The Fall '09 class I’m currently taken are listed as ‘IP’ (In Progress) and my planned courses for Spring 2010 are listed as ‘PL’ (Planned).

Is it fine if we check the box and submit?

Thanks for your help, MrRevelle.

Yeah, that’s exactly how my app looks like right now. You should be fine. Good luck you guys!

Sounds good. Thanks again! Good luck to you, too. :)

I just submitted my application, and I kept getting this message even though I made sure to enter my current and Spring 2010 courses. This message even appears on my receipt. It’s really weird that I keep getting this… I wonder why. My Fall 09 and Spring 10 classes show up on the receipt, but so does the above message.

Do you know what you put as your dates of attendance for that school and the term type?

Here’s generally what it looks like:

Dates of attendance: through June 2010
Term type: Semester w/ winter session

Fall 2009 courses
listed with “IP” (In Progress)

Spring 2010 courses
listed as “PL” (Planned)

Also, I am taking 16.5 units in the Fall and Spring. Without these 16.5 units, I would only be at 57.5 units. So if the UC application wasn’t ‘reading’ my planned coursework, technically it would stop me before I submitted my application to warn me that I was not at junior standing and would be applying as a sophomore. But it didn’t say anything like that, so it seems like it is reading my planned courses.

Maybe it means that I have not yet entered grades for the planned coursework?

Ohh, so you didn’t put any summer courses? That’s probably why it was saying to make sure you entered all planned courses.

Well, the summer session at my college has been canceled for Summer 2010. I would be done with IGETC by Spring 2010 anyways, so I don’t need to take any Summer 2010 courses. Is it bad that I didn’t put Summer courses? The Spring final exams end in the first week of June, so that’s why I put June.

No, it’s not bad, I guess their system is just set up that way so it assumes that you forgot to put in your summer courses or something. I put through June 2010 also, and I forgot to put in the one course I plan on taking in the summer (if they don’t cancel Summer session…) and when I put it in the message went away. So you’ll be fine since you don’t have any summer classes.

Thanks a lot for your help, MrRevelle. I think I’m fine. As long as the classes I plan to take are all listed there. Thanks again, and good luck! :)

No problem. Good luck to you as well! And post in the future thread telling what you got into. :D

Yes, I will. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for UCLA!
