UC Appeal Question

Hi CC community, I plan on appealing to a few UC’s but after reading their appeal policy I have noticed that for some schools (UCSB and UCI) it says that the letter must be “written by the applicant”. UCI states,“Please upload your letter of appeal. It must be physically signed and dated by the applicant.” UCSB states,“To appeal for fall quarter 2017, send us a letter requesting that we reconsider your application. The letter must be written by the applicant”.This is going to sound really unintelligent, but do they mean that I have to write out the entire letter by hand or only the physical signature? I finished my letter, but I was originally planning on printing it and submitting it either through mail or through the copying machine and then converting it into an online file. Maybe I’m just going crazy. Its not a problem for me to write it out, but I just wanted to make sure.

In other words, Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, Grandpa, teacher, nor minister can ask for an appeal on your behalf.

Hi, I believe signing your name just means that you have to write Sincerely, (Your name). It should be typed not written. Also, how are you uploading your senior transcript? Are you scanning it or taking a picture and then uploading?

@jaella12 I had my counselor send me an email of the pdf document. I initially considered scanning it or taking a picture, but I figured that my safest option would be to request an official file of my transcript.

@asianjock thanks! What address did you put? Office of Admissions and Relations with Schools?
