<p>Well UCB and UCLA are MUCH harder to get into than UCI. And since they are all roughly the same price to attend, i would definately choose UCB or UCLA over UCI.</p>
<p>yeah, no sane and wellrounded person chooses UCI over Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, UCSB, UCDAVIs, UPenn and perhaps even UCSC(Scholarship or not) What does UCI have going for it? commuter campus, socially dead, not very prestigious, 60% asian.</p>
<p>I seriously doubt alicante turned down the top 3 UCs for UCI, or his claim that he got into UCLA's MBA program. </p>

<p>That's not that surprising... my friend turned down Berkeley and UCLA for UCI because he got a full ride. He has to pay almost nothing. Another friend turned down UCLA for UCI because:</p>

<li>Mommy won't let him leave.</li>

<p>HOW COULD YOU TURN DOWN BERKELEY OWNAGE EECS FOR UCSD?!?!?! This is a man who promised to buy everyone steak and lobster if he got into UC Berkeley and not only backs off from buying us all gourmet cuisine, but declines UC Bekeley's most elite major just because he didn't like the campus. He doesn't like UCSD's campus either, so I really wonder.</p>
<p>As for me, I turned down UC Davis for UCI... because... I didn't want to go to Davis?</p>

<p>Well guys, it is easier to maintain a better gpa at UCI than UCB or UCLA. My neighbor down the street interviews undergrads for UCSF and told me that they will accept a student with a high gpa at UCI over a student with so/so grades at UCLA. It only makes a big difference if you compare UCI with say, MIT or John Hopkins.</p>
<p>yes, we are anxiously awaiting an appeal decision from UCLA...Musical Theatre. We are hoping for the best...he is so perfect for their MT program...I'm hoping there is just one space left for him!</p>
