now that i’ve been accepted to ucsc and ucr will they accept my transcripts? Or can I only submit my transcripts once I’ve done my SIR?

the schools will accept your transcript regardless if you even apply or not. but it does you no good unless you are actually enrolled there. so just send your transcript to the school you are actually going to.

@ navymike192: LOL!

@tbuiznis: You can’t just keep posting your stats because you didn’t hear what you wanted the first few times. I think you’re going to get the same answer so my advice would be to just sit tight until the end of April. That’s all any of us can really do. Sure we are all antsy about decisions but at this point there is nothing we can do but sit back and wait. We know these decisions are coming, we just don’t know when but ultimately each of us will know whether we got accepted or rejected so the “chance me” thing is kind of pointless at this stage of transfer.

actually, here is some better advice. the only reason i can see for you to send transcripts to multiple schools is if you were making a last minute decision. so lets say the deadline to SIR and submit transcripts to UCSC and UCR was july 1. its the end of june and you haven’t decided yet. i would send both transcripts to both school. that way you can submit your SIR on june 30th to whichever school and they would already have your transcripts

@iDrizzle only reason i reposted was cause i initially forgot to place my ethnicity. Since there was a total of 3000 minority transfers out of the 13500ish total transfer number so i thought to ask again including that statistic.

But yeah im just hoping for the best, thanks everyone

@tbuiznis: I didn’t mean any malice by my previous post but it is what it is. I wish the best to all of you on here who are waiting for decisions regardless of your stats. But like I said, at this point a “chance me” is useless, we’ll just have to wait and see. I don’t know if the whole ethnicity thing plays a big role. It’s not “supposed” to. But if it really does than it’s worse for me because I’m Asian.

I was rejected from the UC’s I applied to, which one of them I can understand but I was really surprised at the last one. I was in the Top 9% of all California students according to the UC Eligibility index and they said that “If you’re in the top 9 percent of California high school graduates and aren’t admitted to any of the UC campuses you apply to, you’ll be offered a spot at another campus if space is available. We use a formula — called an admissions index —to determine if you fall in that group.” Does this mean I still have a chance of being accepted into a UC? And how long do they take to send out their “other” acceptance?

@lalalalal: This is a transfer thread.

I was just checking out my UC Application online (I reread my personal statement now and then when I’m feeling anxious about admit decisions…for whatever reason it makes me feel better, don’t judge me!), and I noticed that out of the four campuses I applied to, the only one listed under “Campuses Selected” is UCI! I applied to UCLA, UCSD, UCI, and UCB. If I look at my Application Status, it still shows that my app was forwarded to all four universities… why then is only one showing up on the app itself?? It definitely was not like that a week ago. Is this some kind of temporary glitch? Is anyone else having this problem??

I sure hope it doesn’t mean anything… I TAG’d to UCI, and since that’s the only one that’s showing up, I’m wondering if it could mean that I’m going to be rejected from the other three! Ahhh, this is so stressful! :(

If anybody would be willing to check their UC Application and see if all of the schools they originally selected are still listed on the “Campuses Selected” section of their app page, I would be eternally grateful! I’m going to call the UC App hotline tomorrow, but I’m sure that even if it meant something, they wouldn’t give me a straight forward answer.

Please? Anyone?.. Bueller? :)

^^ I just checked mine. It still says what its always said. That my application was forwarded to those schools on 11/11/2011

Kk I checked…you’re referring to where it lists all the schools and has a check mark next to the ones I applied to right? If so, all my schools are checked

Also shows all 4 of my schools on my actual app

Yeah, I was referring to the part on your actual app where it says “Campuses Selected,” then lists each school and the major you applied to. All four are still listed for me on the page where it says “Date Forwarded,” but not on the actual app itself when you view it. I even clicked on the link that said “Add Campus Choice” and it only has Irvine listed with a checkmark there too. :/

Thank you guys so much for checking… can you tell me which schools you applied to by any chance?

LA,SD,Irvine,SB… You?

^^ Yeah mine still has all the schools I applied to on the actual application part and says which majors I applied as and the alternate majors that I marked.

I applied to Cal, LA, Irvine, Davis, SD, SC, SB, and Riverside. All of them really except merced.lol

I applied to LA, Irvine, SD, and Cal… Uh oh, I’m really worried now! Maybe those three have already read my app and put me in the reject pile, and a glitch in their system caused them to drop off my list?? I know I’m being super neurotic here, I just can’t think of any explanation of why mine wouldn’t be showing up!

Omg I wish they would just release the decisions already!! I’m about to have a mini-meltdown here!! I guess I’ll just call tomorrow and see if they can make any sense out of it for me… Doubtful, though.

Hey I was wondering if you ever called and asked them why you only have one UC selected on your application when you applied to many other schools. I just checked my application and it only shows UCSB when I applied to many other schools. This is fairly new because I checked my application a few weeks ago and it wasnt a problem. I would really appreciate it if you could respond ASAP. Thank You
