UC Application Email

I got this email today. I was wondering if anyone else got this same email. I think it is saying that I have not updated my application even though I did. Heres the email

Dear Transfer Applicant, UC Application ID:

Thank you for applying to the University of California for the fall 2010 term. This is the final request for additional information as we review your application. Our records show that you have not responded to the previous notification. We need the following information to complete the review:

• An updated list of your fall 2009 courses with all associated grades

• A list of any additional coursework in progress or planned through summer 2010

To update your information you will need your UC application ID number, which is listed above. Log on to our website and complete the Application Update form at:

Untitled Document

You should complete an Application Update form as soon as you receive your final grades for your fall 2009 coursework. After your initial submission of the form, you can return to the Application Update website to update any in-progress or planned coursework. Even if you do not have any in-progress or planned courses, or your record of course grades was complete in your original application, you must still fill out this form.

Please note that each campus and program may have additional procedures and requirements for handling application updates. Contact the admissions office at the campus(s) to which you have applied with specific questions.

We strongly advise you to meet the priority deadlines for each campus to which you have applied. On-time updates ensure that your latest grades and in-progress or planned coursework are considered in the admissions process. There is no guarantee that campuses will accept updates after their stated deadlines, and failure to meet the deadline may jeopardize your admission.

The priority deadline for fall 2010 is January 31, 2010 for all campuses.

There is no need to wait for winter intersession grades – fill in the form without them. You may submit another update if your winter intersession grades become available before the deadline.

If your planned coursework changes or you receive D or F grades in winter coursework after the application update deadline, then you must notify the admissions office at each UC campus to which you applied.

UC Berkeley Applicants:

UC Berkeley requires its applicants to complete additional forms, available at:

admissions.berkeley.edu

The Berkeley forms should be completed in addition to the systemwide form.

Thank you for your attention. We look forward to learning more about your progress.

Sincerely,

I received it too, although I updated my application just 2 days ago. I think they send it to everyone just in case? I was alarmed when I read the email so I submitted my app again just now.

I think it will be okay if you have your confirmation page. I also submitted an application to Berkeley and it states that they have already received my update. So no worries!, you should be fine :)

And good luck!

No, I haven’t received this e-mail. Many people seem to have received it, but I haven’t. At first I thought there was a problem with my e-mail, but I received an e-mail from President Yudof (regarding the Blue/Gold plan) on 1/21, so they do have my correct e-mail address.

I updated my application back on 1/7, so maybe that’s why I didn’t get today’s e-mail. Maybe their system malfunctioned and they sent it to everyone who updated after a certain date?

Not sure if I should worry or not. I have my confirmation page. I didn’t apply to UCB, so I don’t have that extra confirmation page that the Berkeley applicants have.

i think they sent it without looking whether u have submitted ur update or not. Just as a reminder

i didnt get that email

Whew! That’s a relief to hear I’m not the only one who didn’t get the e-mail, CalBearGuy. Maybe it wasn’t sent to everyone.

Yeah, I didn’t get the email either. Though, I did get an email asking why I have a gap in my education for spring 2010 from UCI.
