This is from an international student.
For the a-g subjects, we can use any classes from grade 9 to grade 12 to fulfil right? (they only mentioned grade 9.. but can grade 12 classes too?)
But for the GPA we only use grade 10-11 classes in there to count?

also for the UC applications, do we not need to sent anything to the school at all? Like all we need is to submit the online application?
because for other schools not just the online application, I also have to sent the financial statement, transcripts, recommendation etc other papers

i have a question about this too... i know some ucs only weight eight of your 10th/11th grade honors/ap classes when they calculate your gpa. does this mean eight semesters or eight yearlong classes?

yes, all classes from 9-12 count to fulfill a-g requirements. Actually, Alg I in 8th grades counts as well.

UC gpa is only grades 10 & 11. Weighting is based on UC-approved honors courses, and all AP/IB/college courses. Eight semesters = four year-long courses for bonus points. No info on how they handle OOS or international honors courses.

UC's will not accept recs. But, I do not know about financial statements for internationals. I suggest U e-mail them for correc info.

thank you, that helped. but a few more questions

for the laboratory science, lets say they require two years.
and i have biology, physics, chemistry all 1 year courses.

if i got low scores on biology, can i just omit that?
and just put in chemistry and physics (2 years)
like not put biology in the a-g subject list, because i have already fulfilled the two years requirement.. or is it mandatory i list everything, whether I already have the credits or not.

and lastly.. does I.B. Computer Science fit into any place on the a-g subject list? my UC GPA is pretty low and i'm finding ways to up it..

Don't omit anything.
If the UCs decide to accept you, they will request for a official high school transcript, which will have all your grades on it.
Your omisions may cause the UCs to revoke your admissions.

I, however, have a bunch of classes (Science Tech Lab [it's like...shop class], Technical Drawing, etc. etc.) which I cannot add to my UC application grades list because they do not fit into any of the categories. Oh, and I'm an OOS.
