UC Application help

I am planning to apply to University of California Davis and i was filling out the application today. Why does the UC application want 7th and 8th grade grades. When you fill out your high school grades, is it just the final grade for that subject for the whole year. The high school that i go to is not in California and we get quarter grades for each quarter. A core subject for us in the whole year gives us 6 grades. Look at *** below.

((We get four grades for each quarter, one grade for final and midterms and then one end grade that is consisted of all 6 grades)).***

In our high school we dont offer lots of advanced courses during 7th and 8th and i didn't take any but once i entered high school, i took a plethora of difficult classes. So the courses that i took in 7th and 8th is that going to affect me.

Do UC schools care deeply about 7th and 8th or is high school grades the most important

Do the final grade of each subject. That’s what I did.

Many California middle schools offer college prep classes in middle school. When I was in 8th grade, I took Algebra I, an A-G course. As a result, when I applied for the UCs, I entered in the grade for the class in the section of the application where it asks about middle school. In most California high schools, the grades of middle school college prep (A-G) courses are printed on the transcripts.

The UCs only consider your grades sophomore through senior year. They just want to make sure you took and passed (C or higher) all of the A-G classes they require.
