I am almost finished with my UC applications, and I just have to add my SAT scores for October. Do I add the scores as they appear online at collegeboard.com, or do I have to wait for the more 'detailed' report that comes in the mail? Also, If I put down the scores on the application, do I still have to instruct Collegeboard.com to send those scores? Thanks.

Collegeboard should have the scores online that you need. And obviously, you must tell collegeboard to send scores to the UCs you are applying to if you haven't done so already because it's needed to verify your scores.

If you didn't take the SAT option of sending test results to your schools, you can pay about $10 per test to have the official score report forwarded. My son got his new scores online yesterday ( composite almost 200 points over last year! ;) and emailed them to the one school he has already applied to, along with notice that the official collegeboard paperwork is en route.

good luck!

Okay, I'm not the OP and this might be a stupid question, but just to verify...

I need to have Collegeboard send a score report of my SAT scores to the UCs?
And (I'm assuming the answer is yes) I send a report to EACH UC I'm applying to?

When you took the SAT, you had the option of selecting colleges to be sent your scores. If you did not indicate any schools, or you want to send to others, then you can go to the collegeboard site and arrange to have your scores sent. It costs ten dollars per school, and yes, you should be sure that every school you apply to has this information.
