Does anyone know if you report changes on your UC application, will it effect your chances of getting accepted?

Let's say I messed up for my Spring course/grades section. I put no courses to report because my registration date for my community college wasn't until after the application deadline, but I indicated that on the comment box. I didn't know I was just supposed to put the classes as planned since I didn't register for my classes yet.

So I called the UCLA admissions office twice and they said I could just wait for the January update form, but when they replied to me through email they said I should report the change right away. I called the UC admissions office twice as well and they gave me two different answers too!

Has anyone ever been in the same boat? If so, PLEASE HELP! And if not, any suggestions??

Just relax, the UC’s don’t even look at your application until after the grade update. Fix everything on January 12th and you should be good to go.

haha i made the same mistake. i noticed it today thanks to you. i emailed them too, so ill let you know what they say to me. i dont think it is a big deal tho.

Thanks! I’ve been stressing over this since I submitted my application! haha I’ve been getting so many different answers that I’m just really confused now! The only thing I’ve been really scared about is that without putting in my spring courses I only have 52 out of the 60 units needed, and on the bottom I checked the box that said I verify that its correct. Do you think they would reject you right away for seeing I don’t have enough units yet? But I’m pretty sure it’ll be okay haha

Are you in the same boat with the units too?

hm not with the units. i will be finishing 72 semester units by this semester. dont worry too much. UC admins are not dumb. they have had tons of students like me and you, and as long as we submit the schedule for next semester, we will be fine. most importantly, they cant make any decision untill they get our fall grades in Jan.
