UC Application NOW..

hey for everyone going for UC's,
for the online application, would it be wise to post up sat ii scores that aren't so good? and what about ap scores that i didn't pass. - because for sat's they are eventually going to see all the scores right? answer needed IMMEDIATELY!!! thanks :)

They only use the top two anyways, and they're going to see the rest when you send the scores, so it doesn't really matter. You don't have to send any AP scores, but if you want them to see one score you have to send them all. If you're worried about it, just send it after you are accepted.

can you really send it after acceptance?

Yeah, the general procedure is not to send them until after you've decided which school to go to of the schools who have accepted you. You don't have to list any AP scores or send any if you choose not to, from what I understand. You can double-check with the schools you're applying to for clarification.

from my understanding, like ucla wants the scores put down because it shows dedication one has for an ap class other than just the class but toward ap testing in may - I did fairly well on most of mine except one i got a 2 and i don't know if it will make my application look bad to the adcoms ?

From what I was told during high school, it's better to have a score of 1 than no score for a particular AP class. However, there is quite a bit of controversy in regards to this issue.

Our kids' HS requires ALL kids who take AP classes to take the AP exam. Most of them do very well on the AP exams & I believe they post their scores (mostly 5s & some 4s). Your question is a good one to discuss with your GC; that's where I'd turn.

i've asked my counselor and she told me to put it down because later on when i send in my stuff,, they will see it anyways. and also a UCLA person came to my school to talk about the admission he said that he'd rather see a person who tried to do well on ap and not pass than a person who didn't take ap exam at all... despite all these I'm still not sure so i posted the question here... should i just risk it and put it down? because i've heard from people that scores below three could hurt my chances - i'm so confused
