UC Application PS No.3

Is the third PS as important as the first two? I mean, if you want to explain something in the third PS, do we simply straight-out tell them or write a literary essay?

I'm pretty sure you don't have to fill it in at all if you don't want to.
When a woman from the UC Berkeley app committee came to my school she said that she's seen people just put a list of extra stuff that wouldn't fit in the other parts of the application and that that was fine. Or if you have something you want to explain, like a period when you didn't attend school, citizenship issues, why you're applying EOP, if you're high school has an alternative schedule, etc.
It doesn't necessarily have to be an essay the likes of the other two.
Hope that helps!

Yeah, the third one is more of an optional anything else... if you have something good to say or unique about ur circumstance, let them know. Don't just use it just to fill space

Like it says, only fill out the third one if you need to. Whatever it says, take the directions to mean exactly what they say.

If you do use it, get straight to the point in just a few sentences. It is not in any way meant to be a third essay or personal statement.

i didn't use it.

thanks guys
