I just got back my SAT 2 Chinese score and i got a 740… I am planning to send the score to colleges.I am not Chinese and my ethnity is not Chinese, i learned Chinese by myself in highschool. However, my mom is half Chinese and her last name is Chang… She doesnt know how to speak Chinese though.
My question is… Will the college suspect me for knowing Chinese before because my mom’s last name is Chinese? I talked about learning Chinese in highschool on my uc essays also. I afraid that they will think I’m lying about it… Do i explain it somewhere on the uc application? Or what should i do??
