UC Application Question

Am I required to put down all non “A-G” coursework or is putting them down voluntary? Because I have a “W” in AP Comp Sci and would rather not put it down (even if it ends up showing up in the transcript).

I don’t believe that AP Comp Sci qualifies as non “A-G” coursework. I’d expect to see it listed under “Other-Elective” at the bottom of the “A-G” coursework page.

And I have no idea how they’d treat a “W” . . . but it’s probably worth finding out. If it’s going to impact your UC GPA, it’s better to know that sooner, rather than later.

All courses and grades must be reported, not just the “good” ones. No, accurately reporting your academic history is not “voluntary,” it is a requirement. If your application is successful and you are admitted, omitting the “W” would be grounds for rescinding your admission.

AP Comp Sci is a ‘g’ elective. (It used to be math elective.)

And yes, you must report it. Failure to report is lying by omission, and will subject any acceptance to recession once UC sees your transcript next June.
