UC Application Question

Hi. I am planning to apply to various UCs this fall as a political science major.
On the application there is a section that asks you to list your highest level of math. As of now, I have not taken a math course yet, but I plan to take a math in the winter, as well as the (poly sci) pre-requisite stats course in the spring. Due to the fact that both are "planned courses" I am unsure which course to list. Any advice would be much appreciated.

on the app, i believe you have to list all the classes youve taken and will take. As well as the grades you got in the class. so, regardless, they will know every class youve taken. including your highest math and the grade you got in it.

There is a specific section however that asks for 2 English classes and 1 Math class. I am not talking about the section where you list all courses and grades.

since your taking statistics in spring, and another class in winter can i assume that the winter class is the prerequisite for statistics? If so then just list statistics. They want the highest “college level” math class. If you’re taking calculus or something like that in winter than list that. Math classes are usually labelled by difficulty (the easiest math class at my CC was 105 which was arithmetic; the hardest was 275 which was differential equations i think) any-who, statistics, for example was like 227 and for most people (me included) that was there first, and only, college level math class. So restating what i said above, if they’re both college level then find which one is higher and list that one.

Be careful with what the application is actually asking for though.

If the application states something like…
“What will be your highest level of math at time of transfer?” Then put statistics for sure.

However, if the application states something like…
“What is currently you highest level math course completed?” Then you would need to put your last math class, presumably some type of Algebra completed in high school.

All the best
