<p>i havne't started. uc apps is easy. only a few questions and a few pages of stuff. takes like 10 hours total.</p>
<p>I finished on monday only because my parents insisted I apply. Personally I don't see myself at any of the UCs and I would have been better off applying to like McGill or Toronto. If I'm forced to go to a UC by some disaster, I'm transferring at the end of the first year regardless of what kind of experience I have. I want to go back to the east coast and UCs aren't going to help me do that. UCs are great if you want to stay in Cali your whole life, but if you're in my position (want to leave California for good ASAP) then look somewhere else. And yes that goes for UCLA and UCB as well. Don't crucify me as that's just my opinion.</p>

<p>relax. only thing u gotta worry about is the essays and financial aid section (if there is one). It took me a LONG time to do the CSS Profile for fin aid, but then again I did it on my own and I'm not exactly a tax expert. Also, make sure to get ur teacher and counselor recs, thats the most important thing. DONT BE LATE. Email ur teachers and tell them to expect to do a teacher rec on Monday (ask politely). Tell them when u need it by. Skip a day of school if u need to to get it done.</p>
<p>UCs don't solicit or require teacher or counselor recs. If they do, oh well, I don't want to go to UC's anyway.</p>

<p>Hey, at least you don't have a sob for a father who is just crapping over your essays. Take a deep breath, think about your life and start doing something.</p>

<p>I've been working on my first essay. Two hours, about 450 words done. It might be crap, but at least it's something :)</p>
<p>It's mainly the Personal Statement essays that take a while. :) You might want to get started on them this weekend. The other stuff doesn't take too long - just make sure to have your parents' income and your courses/grades/extracurriculars info on hand.</p>

<p>The UC app took me quite a while--it's kind of tricky. And I heard that the server started crashing frequently the week before the due date last year. If you aren't sweating bullets yet, you should be.</p>
<p>It's the UCs. Why panic?</p>
<p>It won't take long. 10-15 hrs tops.</p>

and I hate coming onto this forum just cause I see all the competition that I am up against...it's really very intimidating..
anyways...the 600 word one is getting to me..</p>

<p>ANyway, is it possible to SAVE the app, like not completely finish on ONE day.</p>
