UC at Boulder some questions and info

Hey! i got a couple of questions about the university of Colorado at Boulder. i havn't visited it yet so is it really that pretty(I'm from MA not many mountains over here)? how are the students are they nice, mean, laidback, uptight, or any thing like that? is there usually stuff to do or does it get boring after a while? any information like this would be great. Thank you

I got to visit back in the fall and from what I saw the student body was very friendly and open. And with 25,000 students, there all kinds of people to meet. In regards to the campus...Yes, it's pretty freakin awesome. At any point on campus you can turn around and look up at the mountains behind you (or in front of you). And Boulder is a small city, so I would assume and from what I've heard it never gets really boring. The city has all kinds of entertainment and satisfies every need and is constantly said to have one of the best quality of life. And the school is one of the biggest party schools in the nation if your looking for that, but also the drinking/smoking scene isn't pressured upon you at all if your not into it.
Oh, and its only about 30 minutes outside Denver.

My D is a freshman there and loves it. The campus is beautiful. Most of the buildings are Colorado sandstone with red tile roofs. Gorgeous.

D is very busy; there are lots of things to do. Movies, concerts, shopping, intramural sports, working out, hiking, skiing, etc. There is a party scene and you can choose to participate or not. People are cool about it if you don't. My D isn't pledging a sorority, but she has a good friend whose entire floor of her dorm is. There are frats and sororities, but they don't dominate the social scene. The kids seem to be friendly and non-judgmental. Most of the out-of-staters come from Texas and California, but they are from all 50 states.

Good luck in your decision.
