@eden97 i got rejected for global studies here but got in at other schools. what courses did you take? i know its a new major so there wasnt an articulation on assist…

Admitted
Major: bioengineering
GPA: 3.962

Ayyyyyyyye rejected from Haas (for reference: 3.91 gpa, LOTS of ECs, shitty essays). but got into ucla so i’m chillin

Is it worth it to appeal? I was admitted to every UC I applied to except Berkeley (which was my top choice). Regardless, UCLA, UCSD, Davis, and Santa Barbara are good options too.

@gabyitzelq1 i’m sorry to hear! but at least you have other schools as back up!
The relevant courses toward the major I took were Intro to Microeconomics, Intro to Macroeconomics, Spanish (2 semesters) and Elementary Statistics. Yeah, it sucked that there wasn’t an articulation so I just looked at the lower division courses on Berkeley’s website (http://live-global-studies.pantheon.berkeley.edu/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Global-Studies-FAQ-V2.2.pdf). Do you plan to appeal?

Rejected :frowning:

Do you finish all the pre classes? I am on the waitlist same major

@snowy606
do you finish all your pre-classes? I have same major with you

ACCEPTED!
GPA: 3.62
Major: English
EC’S: President of a club at my college, full-time job
essay: I don’t think they were very good, but I talked about the decision to go back to school after taking 5 years off.
Applied: UCSC, UCB
Accepted to both

Just got accepted to Berkeley, except I’m concerned about one of the honors classes I dropped this semester.

This was the first class that I dropped during my 2 years at community college. I didn’t need it to complete IGETC and still have my 60 units. It’s my 6th honors class, so I’ll still have my honors program completed without it. I called Berkeley admissions to ask if it’d affect me if I dropped and they said it’s probably fine as long as my IGETC and 60 unit status don’t change, and I ended up dropping the class.

However, on my conditions of admissions, it lists all of the classes I’m taking this semester under “I agree to complete all planned and in-progress coursework with a 3.0 or higher GPA, and no individual grade lower than a C.”

Their office is closed right now, but I plan on calling them on Monday. I’m pretty nervous though. Has anyone had any similar experiences/ have they rescinded people in the past for dropping a class during the last semester? Is there anything specific I should say or do when I contact them?

@LynAmmo Hahah thanks! that’s for sure how I’m feeling right now. Congrats to you as well!

Waitlisted.
4.0 in L&S computer science with a few ECs.
Does anyone know the accept rate of waitlisted?

I heard there is almost no chance. Sad

OMG, I got accepted!!! (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ. Don’t know what to say, honestly I didn’t think I was going to get in and I was going to be happy with the fact that I got into UCLA and UCSD.

Major: Mathematics
GPA: 3.71
Pre-Req: Will be finished this spring 2017
Extracurricular: Nothing much besides amateur boxing and some little volunteering
Personal Insight: I thought it was really cringe to be honest but I think it was really genuine.

Ok, now I’m gonna have major conflict decisions to decide which schools to attend and as well as getting at least B’s in my spring courses.

Congratulations to those who got in and for those of you who didn’t make it, I believe that you guys are all dedicated students that will excel in any institution you choose. Good luck to all and may the force be with us!!!

(☞゚ヮ゚)☞ ☜(゚ヮ゚☜)

EDIT: I checked my portal again and it seems like I got accepted to Colleges of Letters and Sciences, but doesn’t state that I got into Mathematics. Does anyone know what this means?

What do you have to do as an OOS applicant to get in lmao

@anxiousquestions I’m in the same situation as you. I dropped a class this semester because it was a major requirement for other UC’s that I was applying to. I honestly didn’t think I was going to get into Berkeley and now I’m really nervous about how it’s going to affect me.

Re-entry student with lots of EC’s, work a lot, volunteer a bit. I’m so excited but suddenly so nervous about my grades for this semester! I feel like I just exchanged on anxiety for another. My poor math teacher is not going to know what hit him Monday.

Rejected to Haas with 3.86, 9.5/10 essays.

UCLA or USC for me.
