@amxelia yes, i hear its highly theoretical as well. that being said, because of the major’s interdisciplinary nature, you can take classes from a variety of departments (ex: film). cal also offers decals, student-design courses in a variety of different topics, i’m sure there are some production/media decals offered. you can also get involved in student run media (caltv, daily cal, etc.) i’m sure there are plenty of options if you look
when and where would we find out if we got into bridges transfer weekend?
I just SIRed to UCLA, and I can see my award details but it says that
"Residence for Tuition Classification: Pending
Additional information may be requested to determine your residence classification for tuition purposes. Our residence deputies will contact you via your official email and the Message Center."
Is this normal? How long do I have to wait?

Wow! I thought long shot but got admitted! Glad I applied. Still reading all info regarding housing and dealing with end of school. Wow! I thought heart was set on UCSB but now I got to rethink strategy. Life is a chess game.
Anyone going to the admitted students public tour? On the website it says the tour is from May 1~31 so that you can reserve or join a tour whenever it’s available.

@lexluther96 If you go on to the Berkeley admission portal, you can click on the step 2 for the new admit tours, then from there you should be able to find your way on to a website where it shows that you can register for a tour that lasts from May 1~31.
Did anyone get invited to the Vice Chancellor’s Welcome Reception? I was hoping to gather some information on this event! I had prior plans but am wondering if this event is worth skipping them for? I just learned that it was as separate event from the initial Chancellor’s Welcome Reception and wanted to weigh the pros of attending.

Nooo, I was just finishing touches on the Alumni Scholarships (Deadline was extended from 6pm today to 11:59 pacific time), and I came home to submit it at 10:20pm, and it says it’s closed! 
I guess it’s my fault for waiting (although they honestly don’t give us much time).
Rejected but accepted to UCSD. Will send full stats for anyone that asks. Still going to apply to Cal for grad school 
I was fortunate enough to receive a UCSD grant that covers full tuition and partial living expenses. I feel like it worked out. To everyone going to Cal, go Bears!
