Only time will tell. Just checking to see if it is an indicator of acceptance, as has been the case for many other schools.
If someone sees something and reports it on here, it is likely that it is an indicator.
Hopefully more people check and see.
I can’t log in. Just BTW, Berkeley won’t make the mistake of updating people’s info to the Cal Central system before decisions were released so I wouldn’t think much of it. I can understand why you’d want any indication of acceptance – I’m freaking out too. Hope everything goes well for everyone!
@SFMom2021 When you login using that link, what page does it take you to?
@soulpup I think it takes you to cal central thing, and then if u try logging in through My Berkeley it takes u to ur application status thing
@Sharob Thanks:) That’s what I get to … nothing beyond the status page.
WOOOOOO BERKELEY!
wait is that login thing supposed to work?
@ALLCAPS24 Nope.
How many applicants does Berkeley take per year?
Is there a confirmed time on Thursday when decisions will be released? I don’t want to be at school when it happens tbh
I can’t wait to see all of the theories about the “under review” status appearing and disappearing.
@roonilwazlib100 Usually 5pm PT.
This CalCentral thing is BY NO MEANS an indicator of application status. You can only login to this system if you have a CalNetID. If you dont(of course we don’t) then you have to log into the MAP@Berkeley which is just a site for applicants. Plus, even it meant anything, if wouldn’t be this early. They couldn’t have updated the database so far from release date.
Guys plz just chill
Well using this website: http://admitguide.com/
It says 9,750 CA applicants got accepted in 2016. I’d suspect an increase on how many applicants get in though so I’d say maybe 10k CA students this year. I love your profile pic by the way.
@astrophysicistx a little bit more than 14000
Sorry for causing excessive speculation (just really nervous leading up to the 30th!), but do any of you who took the ACT see [Test Date:xx/20xx (self-reported)] show up on their portal again?..This line dissapeared after the office received the official scores, however it popped up again a few days ago, dissapeared, and appeared again today. Just something weird I noticed, don’t know if it’s an indicator of any kind.
@ad0000 It’s there for me. Not sure what it would indicate, though.
For those who have been denied or waitlisted by many other schools, remember you still have a hope to get into UCB. Last year, one of my friends received straight denial decision from UCLA, UCSD, UCD, UCSB and UCI (didn’t apply other UCs). He lost all hopes already, but was finally admitted by UCB. He’s now in UCB, enjoying a happy life there. So guys, please keep your hopes up and let’s expect miracles even if you have a very slight chance. Send my blessings to all of you!
