UC Berkeley 2023 Applicants Thread

@apatel1234 last year they came out on first week of February

Any chance regents might come out today?

@collegemom111111 probably not, but you could check just to be safe

@collegemom111111 I also hope to have the regents out by today but most likely it might be next week, either Thursday or Friday

can someone explain what regents is? I see it in this thread pretty often but never knew what it was

Am i the only one who checks their application portal every few days just to see if something ever changes?

@frokenclarp me too!

Most of you will probably be checking every couple of hours until March 28. Don’t forget to look for the “4 email IDs” lol.

@ProfessorPlum168 What is it, and what does it mean?

when do the regents notifications come out?

just for reference
Last year MET decisions started coming out on Feb 9th Friday around 3:15pm PST ish, so this year’s MET decisions might be coming out this friday??

What does MET stand for?

@familymom Management Entrepreneurship & Technology program
It’s a joint business-engineering dual degree that you apply for separately

Good luck everyone! Two years ago, my S2 received his notification for early acceptance and regents scholar candidacy on 2/10, so I guess Friday 2/9 is a possibility for the results? If you don’t hear anything around that time, don’t panic. My S1 was admitted in March and he is graduating in May! (Both are engineering students) Time sure flies!

@ProfessorPlum168 What was the 4 email IDs you were saying?

From what I’ve researched, and going through the past years and days the early admissions were released, they should be released this Friday, February 9th, around 4 pm PST. I plan on calling UCB as soon as they open which is 9am PST and asking if they have a set time they’ll be releasing it.

If you look at the 2022 thread and scroll back to March 2018 you’ll see plenty of references to the 4 email IDs.

@sdhotmama congrats to both of your sons. Do you know the stats/criteria to be considered for early acceptance/regent scholarship?
