@TheGuy1 agreed. I don’t believe it’s a sign but I’m curious either way. on the UCI portal things started ‘changing’ right before announcements went up and people with out a certain section appeared to get rejected and with that section got in (my son included). I was checking through the last outstanding items on son’s college list this morning and realized he hadn’t heard about National Merit Scholarship so just checked that portal and he received a $2500 scholarship so sometimes obsessive portal checking is useful 
@Bridge19 True lol. But which ‘sections’ are u referring to? I just wanna do some personal diving lol. Idk if it correlates to anything tho (mostly not?)

@Bridge19 There, it shows just the main menu. On other pages, it shows that the “Program is Closed” or links to info PDFs or App PDF. Maybe that means not having received the award?
OMG just logged on to my National Merit portal and apparently got the $2500 scholarship too. Thanks for the heads up, @Bridge19 ! Had no idea!

@reinawrites Congratulations! You got the National Merit Scholarship, but how do you know that you also got the Regents scholarship from Berkeley?
@Itiznotfare oh sorry if there was any confusion! I didn’t get any Regents scholarship from Berkeley. I think the invites for it went out in February? I never got an invite, but a couple of my friends did.
The National Merit scholarship was just a separate thing, and we all took a little detour on the Berkeley CC thread lol.

Hey everyone, I get rejected by UCLA and USC, waitlisted by UCSD, accepted by UCD, in this case, does anyone know if I still have chance for UCB? I’m almost desperate…
Hang in there, things will work itself out. At this time last year, my kid was not only rejected from UCLA and USC, waitlisted by UCSD and UCI, but also took the big L from places like NW and Vandy. And then Berkeley came thru.
@armandbryan We have the exact same results haha. Rejected UCLA USC, accepted UCD, and waitlisted UCSD. Dam what are the odds…Honestly I’ve prepared myself for the worst.
Got rejected by UCLA and USC. Accpeted by UCSB and UCSD. Always preparing for the worst the hoping for the best!!
Really wish UCB accepts me lol. Fingers crossed.
