I’m super bummed I didn’t get regents… agh
Got into MechEng MET! Congrats to everyone who got in during early notification. Everyone else: don’t give up
I didn’t get any scholarship, but I’m super excited for MET!
Did anyone hear from College of Chemistry today?
^^ I’ve also applied to CoC and not gotten anything. No one on reddit OR on here has gotten anything early, maybe they just hate us this year? ):
Does MET only release at this time? Will they notify us of rejection if we haven’t gotten a decision by now?
If it says my application is still under review and doesn’t say anything else does it mean the decision hasn’t come out yet or I just didn’t get it?
@faakob i believe if you didn’t get in MET today, you’re not in MET but are still considered for your engineering choice
from the MET FAQ met.berkeley.edu/faqs/
“I applied to the M.E.T. program but did not receive a decision letter from UC Berkeley in February (early release). Does that mean I am no longer being considered for M.E.T.?
All M.E.T. admissions decisions have been released. If you did not receive a letter from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions stating you have been admitted to M.E.T., then you have not been selected for this year’s class. However, you are still being considered for admission to the College of Engineering. Those decisions will be emailed by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions by the end of March. Please know that, given the large volume of applications we received for M.E.T. and the small size of the cohort, many highly qualified candidates were not able to be admitted.”
I’m an idiot lol. I was checking the uc application portal instead of the Berkeley portal. But i got in MET for EECS!
No one wants to share their stats? I’m sure a lot of folks would like to know what it takes to get in for Regents and for MET.
@ProfessorPlum168 but is it really just stats?
Stats is roughly 2/3 of what it takes to gain admission. So obviously it plays a big part.
Stats can definitely be helpful for future applicants
GPA: 3.99/4.0, ACT:36, SAT II Math/physics: 800, 12 AP all 5 Captain of robotics team, Founder & President of CS club
I got accepted today and was selected to interview for regents. I have a 1470 and a 4.0 gpa with 13 AP classes. I would like to think my essays were pretty good and that I had good EC’s, don’t know if that helps anybody. Good job to everybody that got in and if you didn’t there is still a chance
Major: MsE My stats: 1540 SAT (770 both) 4.0 UW GPA and 10 AP classes 4/5s. SAT II’s: Math II 800, Bio M 740, Physics 730. I think my essays were pretty okay but definitely not the best either. PM for ECs.
I’m so confused why there have been no posts about anybody from the college of chemistry getting in. I don’t doubt that decisions for it went out today and I’m not surprised I didn’t get anything, but I would have thought someone would post about an acceptance. Do they not do early acceptances for coc or there was almost noone in early?? No one here or on reddit (a lot more posts) has reported an acceptance.
I feel like not many people from the class of 2023 has posted on CC in general so that could just be it
Thanks to the folks who have posted stats. On CC I feel it is important give back and to share stat info (without giving yourself away, of course).
Not a surprise, but it’s obvious from what’s posted so far that GPA is the most important consideration.
Ahh just got into EECS and was selected to be interviewed for regents!! For anyone wondering, my stats were far from perfect: 690 Math II, 610 Physics, 31 ACT, 3.90 GPA UW, 9 APs. Essays lw could’ve been better (wrote it a few days before), but I think they just conveyed what I’m passionate about pretty well. If anything, I think it’s my extra-currics and essays that helped me out. Congrats to everyone who heard back already and for anyone still waiting, best of luck!
Congratulations! what time did you get your results? I thought all were out at 3pm
