If you get some kind of contact from them, does it signal that you probably got in?? Or do they contact everyone that applied to UC Berkeley?

This has been posted many times.

No, it means nothing about admissions.

Has anyone heard back from the Alumni Leadership scholarship?

i havent...good qn, quixoticrick...bumpp

Here is how it works:

Each applicant is assigned to a different district, the district interviews are run by the alumni in that area. There are tons of districts throughout CA, you are competing against your local friends and that is your competition group. Each group of volunteer Alumni has control of their group, so you may all have slightly different experiences. There are also out of state groups and the alumni office will even accomodate phone interviews for people in complicated situations.

They'll be contacted by the volunteer from their district BEFORE April 24th, as that is when all the interview results must be turned in. If they are not contacted, they didnt get an interview. But this also means that when some one posts on CC that they have heard from their group, it is meaningless as far as other areas are concerned.

basically, its no news is bad news....which is not very fun, but with so many applications, they do not have the time to contact every one who did NOT get to semi-finals

they will know if they GOT the scholarship by the last week of april so that they can sign their SIR by may 1st.

Does anyone know how much or how many are given?
