UC Berkeley AP Calculus BC transfer?

Does a 5 on the AP Calculus BC exam fulfill the requirement for both Math 1A and Math 1B for UCB?

On assist.org it says it this: "Mathematics AP (BC Exam): a score of 4 or 5 satisfies UCB Math 1A and 1B."

So if I only took the AP Calculus BC exam and not the AP Calculus AB, will it be enough to fulfill both the Math 1A and Math 1B requirements?

Thanks :)

Google is a powerful ally my friend, AP Calc BC fulfills both Math 1A and 1B, so you’re good to go!

What major?

Different majors have different acceptance of AP calculus credit. Interestingly, those which require Math 53 and/or 54 (math, engineering) tend to be more accepting of AP credit for Math 1A and 1B, while those that require no more than Math 1B (business, integrative biology) may not accept AP credit alone (though more advanced courses may be accepted).

Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

Because EECS is in the College of Engineering, it follows the College of Engineering AP credit policy. That allows a 4 or 5 on BC to fulfill Math 1A and 1B.
