For people who appealed to UC Berkeley, please state your results.
Rejection appeal? RD or transfer? Are RD results for appeals even out?
Rejection appeal for RD. The results should come out really soon.
@sieveprimesaxon have any of them come out yet? you heard anything?
@tammiluv Not yet, but I am guessing that the results will come out very soon so that is why I made this thread.
Lol, I thought this post meant that first wave was out.
I’m confused, I thought that the appeals were due to Berkeley by May 1st and we would get a response back by June 1st. But then I checked today on my portal and it said that they received my appeal (even though I hadn’t put my final draft in yet) and that it was in review and they would try to get a response to me by Friday…
Don’t get your hopes too high. In last year’s thread for appeals, people also saw the message that decision would be given by May1. However, actual appeal decisions didn’t come out until May 22. (http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-berkeley/1632329-uc-berkeley-appeal-2014.html)
I think that May 1 message on the portal is a holdover from days past that they haven’t fixed. The FAQ on the appeals said they were due May 1 and decisions would be by June 1 I believe. I’m trusting that.
Do appeal decisions come around the same time as waitlist decisions? Or later?
Most likely later, as waitlisted students definitely have priority over appeals.
I called yesterday and the officer who picked up the phone said that “by May 1st” on portal is not true. The decision will be released AFTHER MAY 1ST, BY JUNE 1ST. Hope it helps everyone!
So if an appeal was submitted on April 29 it was on time? It appears that you could submit your appeal but could make amendments up until May 1. is that correct?
Did anyone get any updates? I think waitlist results are out.
When i talked to them they said it will be awhile longer
There are so many students on waiting list. Waitlisted students definitely have priority over appeals.
They admitted many students off the waitlist… Does that mean we have a shot?
3% last year.
First round of admit from the waitlist began yesterday. My D received her notice yesterday and happily SIR’d.
Go BEARS!!! Has a better sound then Go TRITON!
@taotao88 Is that 3% from last year the number of people pulled off the waitlist or the number of successful appeals?
Nevermind, just saw on a blog that it is appeals (data from 2011 and earlier however, so not sure if it has changed)
