UC Berkeley Appeal (2015)

My friend was just accepted by appeal. I also appealed but haven’t received a decision yet.

If appeal results are coming out… Does that mean waitlist admittances are over?

Does anyone have an idea of how this process works? Are acceptances released in batches everyday or every few days? Are rejections released too or not until the end?

Appeal acceptances are released in waves looking at the appeal thread from last year. For rejections, it’s likely they will not be revealed until all acceptance decisions have been made.

@novahritan Thanks! But I was also taking a look at the last year appeal thread a few minutes ago and saw that some people were rejected at the same time of acceptances:/

Well I guess that means if you haven’t been rejected yet there’s still hope!

Do you get guaranteed housing if you get int thru the appeal?

Were undergraduate appeal decisions released in waves last year? Or was that transfers?

@novahritan what is your friend’s major?

Does anyone else’s portal say that the portal will be unavailable from 8 am to 1 pm? (Hoping it’s a good sign…)

Mine said the same

Accepted as of Friday from appeal!!

stats: ACT: 30, 3.4 GPA
High School: 12th ranked high school in the country (private boarding school)
leadership positions: water polo captain, prefect of my dorm, social rep of my dorm last year
ECs: community service, swimming for 14 years (on varsity for 4)
in state

@paul15 what was your major?

Is the entire Berkeley website down for anybody else? I know the MyBerkeleyApplication was supposed to be down until 1… But now I can’t access any part of the website

It’s down for me too. Is there even going to be another wave?

College of Natural Resources molecular biology

@paul15 thanks. Congrats!

Maybe they’re notifying people in waves based off of majors?

I’m appealing EECS. Probability-wise near impossible (who has ever heard of a successful appeal to EECS?) so if this does go through all credit goes to JESUS! :stuck_out_tongue:

I am worried… It seems like acceptances first and rejections follow along:(.
