Yes…hope we can both get in…haha…

So I have some new info from the admissions office.
I just came back from there and the front desk person told me that attaching a current grade report is OK.
I thought this might be helpful for some.

Hey guys, I have a question for you if you applied for transfer this fall. I was doing some more digging in my application and I noticed the “Languages spoken” section. I compared it with a couple of my friends, and some people seem to have 2 languages mentioned there. Could you, please, post what your “Languages spoken” section says?

Also, there is a question: “Certified for completion of the Intersegmental General Transfer Curriculum (IGETC): No” - since I was applying to the L&S college, I completed their requirements (7 course breadth + english, quantitive reasoning, FL) which is not IGETC. Did anyone also do this and put down NO for IGETC?

Hi, guys, i sent my appeal letter yesterday. how is yours going? I want to know how many ppl would appeal the decision?

Uh, oh. My languages spoken section only lists Russian. Maybe they rejected me because they thought I don’t speak English.

Just a question about L&S Compsci for Berkeley, it shows @ my school as just needing 7course breadth + english and stuff? Is that all you needed? Just interested because friend is applying for Berkeley next year.

Anyways good luck to all appealing.

I turned mine in yesterday as well. I will make an official UC Berkeley Transfer Appeals 2011 thread soon, if there isn’t one already.

If you mean the L&S requirements themselves than yes, you only need to take the three core sections + as many breadth classes as you can (as I understand it what this really means is you should take all of them). But, there are also major requirements and they are very important. I am referring to:

COMPSCI 61A
COMPSCI 61B
COMPSCI 61C
COMPSCI 70
EL ENG 17

You should double-check the names of the courses on assist.org, because they might be titled differently at your community college.

Hope this helps.
