UC Berkeley asked for Supplement??

Hello there. So I applied to UC Berkeley as an English major. I honestly was not expecting/still am not expecting anything from Berkeley as my statistics aren't that great since I've been ill thanks to my heart condition.

Around January I got an email saying they wanted me to fill out a Supplemental Questionnaire in addition to a Letter of Recommendation. So I get to the site and when I looked at the questions they were all pertaining to my heart condition as I had disclosed it to them in my personal essay and application. In addition, they then wanted a copy of my 504 Plan that was set up with my teachers/counselor/assistant principal. I filled it out and all but...

I know that UCs usually do not ask for a letter or extra questions. So I was wondering, do you think this questionaire/letter of recommendation could impact my admisssion chances?

I mean I don't want to get my hopes up for no reason lol.

Every UC Berkeley applicant who discloses a learning/physical disability or a health problem in their application is given the opportunity to fill out a supplemental application. It IS optional, but they make it a point to tell the applicant that filling it out can only help. If you have any questions, call admissions.
