UC Berkeley?? chance

Hello
I’m currently a freshman at the University of Connecticut and was wondering what my chances of getting into UC Berkeley would be? I did somewhat poorly my first semester earning a 3.5 gpa, however, this past semester I earned a 3.93 which brought my cumulative freshman year gpa to a 3.73. I understand this is somewhat vague due to the fact that there are other factors in the application process but if anyone has any feelings on how my chances may look as I plan to apply this upcoming year as a sophomore I would appreciate it.
Thank you for any input

UCs dont count freshman year grades. However, dor berkeley to be a match, get your weighted GPA to at least a 4.2 with only 8 AP and Honors points. ALso you need a 1400+ on your SATs. You should start some long term ECs as that shows commitment

wait a sec, isnt he in college?? do transfers really have to retake the SAT??
whoa, news to me

ohh damn...my bad. I thought u were a freshmen. Well its really hard for someone already in a 4 year to transfer to berk. errr... I think your gpa is fine then. errr...sry U will need a couple of good recs

Transfering from out of state is extremely difficult. I'd say your chance is very small with 1 3.7 from a lower ranked college. Transfering from anywhere than a CA community college is difficult. If you really want Berkeley, go to a CA CC for sophmore year and then transfer.

Thank you all for your feedback
To my defense my lower grades have been earned mostly in foreign languages, just this year I received an award for my work in sociology as well as making the deans list both semesters. I do a good deal of community service while holding a part time job. I also belong to a group that wishes to spread an unbiased awareness to the general public on several controversial issues. If Berkeley is a reach what are some schools that one would suggest that are similar to Berkeley. My problem is that UCONN does not offer Peace and conflict resolution, which is what I wish to major in.
Thanks for the feedback

Hippy!!!!!!

Haha I guess one would be justified in saying that….though I only wish to make a change and this world is desperately calling for peace

Also would I have a chance of getting into Stanford or is that totally out of reach?
