Schools that I have/will apply to:
UC BERKELEY (I REALLY REALLY WANT TO GO HERE)
USC
All the UC's

(I want to stay in California)

Additional Note: My high school is really really competitive, and we've been ranked number 1 public school in California before. Also, we are top 10 in the nation for public schools.

Strong applicant but SAT I may be only thing that will hurt you. Good luck!

SAT I? Your scores are great. You are over the 75th percentile in W and CR, and not far behind in Math either. And your EC’s look strong too. I think you will be a great applicant for UC Berkeley, or any of the other UC’s. Good luck!

I honestly think you’re good and in at Berkeley. Assuming that you had good essays and recommendations then you’re gonna be getting in. Being in-state helps your chances obviously and then your SAT is solid with great leadership EC’s. Expect an acceptance!

chance me back?

Cal doesn’t take letters of recs.

But you are really good to go.
Cal - match
UCLA, USC - low matches
All other UCs - safeties

Make sure you write an acceptable essay though. With good essays, I see no way Cal will reject you.

If you we’re out of state, it’d be a reach for you. Since you are in state, I would almost say you are guaranteed to get in with those scores and gpa. Another note, Berkeley I nearly 40% Asian student population, so in this case diversity won’t be a game changer for you. I still think you’ll get in. Best of luck!

Nothing in particular stands out for Berkeley, but good chances at USC. UCLA is somewhere in the middle. I hope your passion really showed in your essay.
Berk: Low Reach/ Reach—> Simply because there are an influx of similarly high caliber applicants with undistincitve EC’s.
LA: High Match/ Low Reach
USC: High Match
Others: Low Matches/Practical Safeties

You’ve taken 9 AP courses through your junior year…? Wow. Solid GPA/test scores.

UCB is a low match IMO. USC and UCLA are almost safeties. All other UCs are safeties.

Not quite sure why everyone is acting like UCB is impossible to get into. It’s not an Ivy. Rigorous, yes, but you’re stats are well above average and you’re instate. Your ECs are more than fine.

Solid test scores, Solid GPA in a competitive high school, and in-state. The three factors actually guarantee your acceptance in my opinion.

If I must think of a factor that would hurt you, there have been some cases when UCB and UCLA rejected some applicants, thinking that they will not enroll even though they were accepted.

P.S: Why don’t you apply to Stanford?

You have a very good chance of getting in! Your numbers are pretty good and most likely that you will be in the top 10% of the applicants from the state. That’s my view:)

UCB: Match

Your stats are definitely very good! With stellar essays I think UCB would be a great school for you :)
