ohmyy I got the e-mail !! I can’t believe it… haha. @attersee @courtneyyyyy I’m going in April as well!!
@anxious00, since you might be busy at school, I can help you and here is what you are asking for, this is what @kelowna posted in CC thread “Finalizing college list for very smart female student (STEM)”
ACT: 35
SAT Chem - 750
SAT Spanish with listening - 800 (she is not Hispanic)

She is fluent in three languages (including English), able to converse in fourth and actively learning additional two. Language has been her passion for the last six years, eventually in her career she would like to be able to utilize her skills, but definitely does not want to be a teacher.
Her EC (besides foreign language) include violin (13 years + state youth orchestra), piano x 5, Varsity Cross Country (captain x 2 years), DECA (captain this year), Mock Trial - this is huge for her, loves this activity, has been leading her team for a while although the highest they went was second place in State, also a captain here. She has been volunteering on the Peer Court for the past three years, is school rep (or whatever they call it) this year. On schools math team . Girl scout with bronze and silver awards. Church group leader.
Past summer she was awarded a paid scholarship at the Chemistry lab of our state flagship. She loved it so much that she is going to continue to work there through the year

@Kelowna , I really hope your kidding. You posted that in the past and all posts are here permanently for members to browse. If you want privacy then I suggest you quit posting here or at least consider more carefully what you do post.
@kelowna and @ kunjiboy - Did the “above poster” post something inaccurate? If so, then yes, I support kelowna’s reporting of this poster. If not, then the information is fair game in my opinion.
Is regents like a very small portion of applicants? I am doubting that ill get accepted because I didn’t get it and a lot of people on here did and I’m OOS which makes me think I won’t get it.
Please don’t get discouraged.
Only 1-2% of applicants got the invitation.
You still have a chance to get accepted, just wait until late March.
@StevenToCollege thanks for the hope!
Does anyone know how travel expenses are accounted for?
I’m an OOS student, although my stats aren’t quite comparable to some mentioned here. I think I wrote some pretty good essays though.
“Travel arrangements, airfare, and lodging for you and one parent or guardian will be covered by the University of California, Financial Aid and Scholarships Office.”
Wow, that’s great that Berkeley will be covering your travel arrangements.
Are they not covered for everyone? Perhaps just OOS students then. I’m pretty poor so that could be it too - another reason I was somewhat surprised that I was selected as an OOS candidate.
@KunjiBoy and @prospect1, I just did some copy and paste from CC thread.
@Kelowna, If what I did makes you feel bad, then I feel sorry.
Since you explicitly told @anxious00, I quoted here “Search my posts and you will see some…” and I knew some other students might not know how to search history in CC, that is why I got information from the following link you posted in CC.
@Kelowna, Congratulate to your kids!
I got the regents email yesterday! Can’t believe I was selected, my test scores aren’t too high. What criteria do they use exactly?
@mohshawks Congrats! It’s roughly the top 1.5% of Berkeley applicants, but of course, the committee reviews each application holistically. It could’ve been your essays or ECs.
I’m still shocked I got it!!!
did any international students get it?
@sehunnie same!!! I was screaming when I got the email.
@swaggicious23, not as from what i know. it seems that international students receive regents invitation at the same time their decision is out. are u international?
yup international, i was just wondering cuz i have loads of friends who applied as well to berkeley (some of them extremely qualified for regents) @mahoushojo wbu?
