Anyone see SAT2 dates listed? I only see SAT1.
@mollikinz yeah it’s totally down. I was able to access it when I first got the email but now I can’t.
It’s probably because everyone is trying to access it all at once. Or maybe it is practice for how we’ll feel on decision day lol
They are still going to ask for Recs until the 3rd week of December according to them so don’t worry if you didn’t get one yet 
@Ballerina016, D got email with link to portal tonight – only SAT1 listed, not SAT2’s. And, it’s weird, it says the date of SAT1 is 12/1/14 (self-reported) but 12/6/14 (official). Weird discrepancy? D says UC app didn’t allow her to put in day of the test, only month and year.
Could it be possible that there is a dual purpose for the LOR? ie, send them to high-stat kids to see if they have anything going on for them other than test scores, and also send them to borderline-stat people to see if they can handle academic rigour. If its based on stats alone, that would explain how UC has sent them out so fast after receiving app submissions.
either way, i submitted 10 hrs before deadline, received LOR today, i’m international and have strong (but not perfect) stats, ECs, essays.
Is the test date for the official scores wrong on anybody else’s checklist? It says my ACT scores are from April 1st when I actually took the test on April 18th 
@coconutproponent, See my post a couple before yours. It sounds like they may just arbitrarily state the first of the month for self-reported. Did you have a different date for the official score report? My D said that the UC app only allowed you to put the month and year, not the exact date.

Anybody else not get a letter of rec request via email but then got one via the portal once they logged in?
@RHSclassof16 I didn’t get it via email, but I haven’t checked the portal. Where on the portal did you find it? And what does it mean if you do get one? I heard they send it to a random 20% of applicants but I am not sure.
@upennpal I think so because I already sent out the requests and it allowed me to. It was under the application checklist.

Does anyone know if Cal is truly holistic? Or do they weigh in stats at least a little bit more?
Any chances with strong stats and ECs but average/below average personal statement?
Nevermind haha I actually did get the email November 18 and somehow still couldn’t find it after checking my email like 5 times for it. God help Berkeley if they accept me.
Oh and my stats for all interested about stats of people who got letter of rec requests:
UW GPA:3.82
UC GPA (Capped):4.18

SAT: 2080 (650 CR, 740 Math, 690 Writing)

At this point, I’m feeling that you shouldn’t stress if you haven’t been requested. If they ask this early, chances are it’s purely based on stats. My stats are strong (2330 and 4.0/4.7) and I haven’t been asked. From what I’ve heard, they’re asking more borderline people, and if not they’ll probably ask in the coming week. I hope this is right-- I’m trying not to stress too much (especially with EA decisions coming out in the next week-- ugh)
