I got an email from them saying that I wasn’t selected to send a recommendation letter but after using this link : https://apply.berkeley.edu/account/login to log in, it says that I have been selected to send reccomendation letters?
@2ne1islife that’s strange… can anyone comment on this phenomenon?
I think that link will work for anyone to send in letters, but you should only do it if they’ve asked for them.

@McKilla99 I think by now everyone who applied to Ivies Ed and some EA top notched schools had already gotten their decisions. Those accepted ED have left this forum since they have to pull their apps out and those got deferred are still bruised (talking about me and my S here) plus Berkeley’s decisions won’t come out till March. It may get merrier after the New Years! 
@sunbeams Well, hopefully it does. Berkeley’s my top choice apart from UChicago now - got rejected from my ED school :’)

I got an LOR email the other night saying it was their last call and I’m really nervous because Berkeley is my next top after my rejection to Duke!! Good luck everyone!
I have some questions…
1.When is UC Berkeley going to start to send invitation for Regent’s and Chancellor’s scholarship this year?
2.When I was filling out application for UC Berkeley, I did not select any scholarship… Does that impact invitation?
Applications are examined very closely as most the respondents here have all ready stated. What Berkeley looks for is something that shows your dedication to education. That is shown through high test scores, extra curriculum activities, and a well maintained GPA.
Besides that, they examine your personal statement to get incite on your way of thinking. They want you to have a growth mindset. They also take account to obstacles you have overcome and or the talents that you poses.
Do not cut yourself short, oh UC Berkeley dreamer! UC Berkeley does not like the doubtful.

From the data gathered from this forum, it seemed random.
Does Berkeley see class rank and do they consider it? I also got a request for LOR’s. My fully weighted GPA is 4.77, UC GPA is low due to so many a-g classes-4.23. 33 ACT. No SAT I. Ranked 1 out of 800. Does it bother anyone else that the more you take on as far as number of a-g classes, the lower your UC GPA is?
@firstsax Nope, they don’t even consider class rank, here’s the link to the common data set - http://opa.berkeley.edu/sites/default/files/uc_berkeley_cds_2014-15_august.pdf, check section C7. I’m in an entirely different curriculum - CBSE - so GPA doesn’t even apply to me lol.
In the student portal, I took the act twice but it doesn’t appear under the tests, does that mean that they never received my test scores or does it only show SAT 1?
