HEY GUYS SO I GOT AN EMAIL THAT MY DECISION HAS BEEN UPDATED. DID ANYONE ONE HERE GET REJECTED TODAY? THERE WERE 200 UPDATES ON THIS FORUM AND I WILL PROBABLY NOT READ THROUGH THEM ALL. SORRY ABT THE CAPS LOCK IM JUST REALLY NERVOUS AND SCARED.
@sloppychair Well letters and sciences is the largest school so I bet that they sent out some early notifications off the to these kids because they had a decent idea before the SIR deadline who is going to go to Cal. And everyone accepted was mainly in state so my guess is that both out of state and engineering kids or a combination of both will be coming out later this week.
@jh1015 Judging by what I have seen congrats you are in.
Do you guys think there’s any hope for civil engineering if we didn’t get the acceptance already?

@Cheeeeese No, I did not see a single OOS except for one that was likely a “trolll” post and when pointed out as a possible trolll did not respond.
From what I understand, Cal released In-State applicants FIRST last year also! And in 2nd and 3rd waves, more OOS and International applicants were accepted. I would not lose hope yet. This was only the first wave! Best of luck to yall!

Guys, I’m an international student and have zero idea about the inside of the campus. However, does anyone know what’s the amount of people in the school of engineering, especially for engineering undeclared and mechanical engineering? Thank you!
This is such a relief to know. I hope there will be more spots opening up for OOS and international students soon… The wait is completely keeping me from focusing on APs.
Agree with @itsesthery OOS and International will probably hear in the next waves - being from CA there has been is a lot of heat put on the UC system to keep the In-state kids numbers up or at least not drop them just because they need more $ from OOS - also a lot of the acceptances today including mine seem to be FPF, Global Edge or January enrollment offers not Fall admits - the rest of you may be the lucky ones to not have to wait a semester

no we can attend in the fall, but we just have to chose a certain enrollment path. The normal one isn’t available to us.

@amoore001 Good question wish I knew why the normal path isn’t available to a lot of us that got in today - I think it used to be known as a regular Spring admit like other schools have but now the options are given in 3 ways although it still seem to be very similar to a Spring start.

daughter got an email at 4 pm today telling her she has been accepted to letters and sciences undeclared. Has anyone talked to cal about deadline to accept? I’ve seen the comment that it’s 7 days.
