When will the next wave comes?
Thanks @qmalik - she got the confirmation from fpf after a couple of hours last night - now waiting on calnet id - clicking button gives a forbidden message but i understand that may take upto 24 hours after SIR.
Anyone OOS get in of the waitlist?
@back2school36 nobody so far
@thatbassclarinet I sure hope good news will come to you soon. No matter what happen next, you have already learned how to pull yourself up and stay focus on what things are important in your life. Keep up with your positive attitude and continue to be an inspiration to others.
When do decisions get released for International students from the waitlist? Are the chances slimmer for internationals?
Spoke with admissions today. Apparently, offers are going out by college. The last wave was L&S and no more offers will go out for L&S, until after 5/9 (SIR deadline for current offers). I didn’t ask for specifics about other colleges. I did ask if all future offers for L&S will be for enrollment paths only and response was “the majority will be”. The admissions officer stressed that this process lasts all month unfortunately. So, for L&S, look for another wave on 5/10.
@Faith2020 Thanks for the update I will then likely call and ask about when engineering will be coming out.
I can see the trend looking over this thread. Engineering admits on 4/22 and 4/29 and prob next offers on 5/6. Chemistry and Natural Resources offers on 4/29 with more prob coming 5/6. L&S offers on 5/2 with more 5/10 and so on. Good Luck !
Actually, call about engineering because the person I thought was admitted on 4/29 was chemical engineering in college of Chemistry.
@Faith2020 and all of the really early ones were all civil engineering.
Wait so Cal only accepted in-state students to L&S?
Well that’s the fck.d up thing about public schools. Whether in state students are amazing or not, they would be preferred amongst “others”.
Especially after UC Berkeley’s announcement of accepting 5000 more California residents this year.
Okay guys this is official information no out of state students were accepted in the past couple of days. OOS kids will only be notified on next Tuesday the 12th.
What about engineering? @robogineer1649
I was waitlisted for architecture, but is architecture part of L&S or its own separate school? And do you know of anyone that has heard back yet for that major?
@robogineer1649 Hi, what is the source? (Not that I dont’t trust you)
@kaanddd A director for admission that works at UC Berkeley. I do not want to be more specific, because I am not sure if he/she would be okay with that.
@sloppychair I would assume that this was a general statement I did not ask specifically about engineering, but this individual knew I was waitlisted for engineering.
