This is what it says: “
You may have recently received a message from our office directing you to financial aid information on CalCentral. This notification was inadvertently sent to a small group of applicants prior to the release of admission decisions and should not be considered final.
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions will release final admissions decisions in MAP@Berkeley on Thursday, March 29th. Financial aid information will also be available in CalCentral at that time.
Please know there is no action you need to take at this time. We sincerely apologize for any confusion or additional concern this may have caused for you and your family at an important time during the college admissions process.”
The financial office just releases a statement stating that “this notification was inadvertently sent to a small group of applicants prior to the release of admission decisions and should not be considered final”. The official admission decisions will be Thursday.
So was this a leak or a prank?? I don’t even know if I should cry or laugh.
It’s total damage control. Why would you have a financial aid offer with your name on it congratulating you on your admission sitting in the portal waiting to be released if you didn’t get in. I think the second email will create more stress and anxiety. Oh well 3/29 it will be Go Bears
From what I’m seeing, “should not be considered final” means that not all decisions have gone out, so those who have not received it still have a chance, and those who have received are admitted.
Did just the people who got the 3am email receive the one that was sent just now? Or did everyone who applied for financial aid receive the email they just sent?
but they also said “The notification related to financial aid does not reflect final freshman admission decisions.” so are THOSE WHO GOT IT IN OR NOOOO
So I applied for aid but I know that I don’t qualify for anything, and I didn’t get the email. Is there a chance that I wasn’t rejected even tho I didn’t get it bc I don’t qualify for aid, even tho I sent in the fafsa?
