did anyone who doesn’t qualify for aid (but applied anyways) get the email??

guys the tweet is just letting everyone know that if you didnt get the email it doesnt mean anything, it wasn’t a reflection of ALL who were possibly admitted.
@Twinmomhell that’s what I got from it too, I think they are saying that those who got the email are probably okay, but those who did not shouldn’t worry yet
So basically they sent out the email to some people who were not admitted… man that’s messed up…
Guys I think people who got the email are in and rest of us are either waitlisted or rejected. Thats how I am taking it and focusing on my other schools.

But the email they sent out to everyone who got the financial aid email is telling them that the decision is not final and there is still a chance they weren’t accepted. I believe the tweet was geared more towards people who didn’t receive the email. I don’t think they communicate the same things/are for the same audience.
@theohpg I’m just curious then why would they even have your name on it saying you have been admitted and send them to only a few? If they really also sent it to those who weren’t accepted way more people would’ve gotten it
@Yaboical if everyone who got the email was accepted, they wouldn’t have sent another email to them saying that the decision isn’t final. They probably would’ve sent an email to everyone saying that decisions aren’t final or wouldn’t have sent anything at all. Typically when schools accidentally release acceptances early, they don’t comment on it…
@Yaboical I don’t think they sent it to just those who were rejected. I think it was random and was sent to some who were actually accepted and some who were rejected.
I am sure people who got the email are accepted and rest just have to wait. That happened with UCD and UCSD leaks too.
@theohpg well, have we seen anyone who got the email and had abnormally low stats?
@theohpg I disagree, if the email was a leak from admissions I could see them leaving it alone, but it was a leak from financial aid, thats different. They can say hey our bad accident sorry, not final. Why would you have a email with your name on it in a financial aid portal congratulating you? you most likely wouldn’t unless you were accepted. but we will see come 3/29. The added undue stress of that second email is a nice way to start the week.
@theohpg I got the email and my stats are in the Berkeley range, but it’s not amazing.
