Congratulations!!
It looks like the the closest thing to an answer we’ve gotten from Berkeley is “The email was sent to a very small group prior to official release of freshman admission decisions and does not reflect final admission decisions.” (from their tweet replies)
“very small group”—this is different from most of their replies being “small number of applicants.” I see they are being very careful with their language. I hope that means I really do still have a chance!!!
haha someone tweeted “Berkeley be playin” and they replied “Sorry about that. It wasn’t our intention. Freshman admission decisions will go out on Thursday, by end of day, as planned.”
@rosaliefontaine we saw that too :))
Havent been here in a while, whats going on?? Im seeing something about an email?
@kornido - great point, by the sheer numbers of this release, this can’t be the full admitted class. In addition, they can’t give aid to EVERY student so there will be many more acceptances released on 3/29 for all the full pay kids.
Settle down everyone. You’ve waited this long, it’s just a few days more.
Ha ha ha, @Jagomezpr. Yup. The post blew up at page 62 at 4 am this morning.
If you guys want more Info, tweet @caladmissions. They responded within 15 seconds to my tweet. I’m sure if lots of ppl ask them questions they will give us the answer we are looking for
I received both emails. I applied for Undeclared Letter of Science and Art.
SAT: 1440
GPA: 4.40
Lots of extracurriculars and strong essays.
Accepted: UCLA, UCSB, UCSD, UCSB, UCD, Cal poly, etc.
Does anyone by chance have a mystery package on USPS Informed Delivery that has been in a holding pattern at a local USPS distribution center since March 11?
I know it’s a shot in the dark. But what the heck, why not ask?
Here’s a question that ISN’T related to the email debacle today – when we talk about GPAs for UCB on this site or elsewhere, are we sharing our regular W/UW GPAs or the so-called “UC GPAs”? Or is the UC GPA just something that UCB and UCLA come up with, if at all? I see a lot of “chance me” and “here’s my stats” posts (which are very helpful and appreciated), and I’m just wondering what numbers people are using.
I posted my weighted GPA(10-12). I used the GPA provided online by my school on Aires.
I did not apply for any financial aid at any of the UC colleges I applied to whether it be FAFSA or anything else.
I did not receive the email.
The email was only sent to those who applied for financial aid. And it was said that that was not the “Final Decision”
just a mom whose D also applied in UC’S. D is not worried because she is not on any of this portal and she is mad at me for getting her worried. she tells me to chill until decision dates. please people, lets not get ourselves worked up. that you didn’t get the email doesn’t mean you are not admitted. again My D got an email in Mid march inviting her to apply for an Alumni scholarship. and in the email they wrote as an admitted student, you are invited to apply for the scholarship. so a lot of things going on. i actually told her to apply and her interview is in April at UC bekerly.
@YoungOne4… is it being held at a Richmond facility? I have that too…
we dont know what this people are looking for, but whatever it is, i suggest we chill and wait for decision dates. do not kill yourself with high blood pressure before you receive your decision. good luck everyone.
@Abelo999 where are you from?
CONGRATS @Dovahkiin012200 may I ask your SAT and GPA?
