Hi Everyone,

Does UC berkeley really take into consideration of december SAT test score after students have already handed in their application??

I'm doing A-level (CIE), similar to IB. Does doing SAT 2 really give me merit?? coz tbh math is much difficult than SAT 2's.

How do they evaluate variations of one's transcript to another's. Coz my school reports only indicate average score and my score. No GPA<,,,,,,,

Plz REPLY~!~!~!~! :(

Yes, December is the last SAT test sitting you can take when applying for any UC. It takes a while for them to review the applications, so there’s time for the College Board to send scores. It takes about 3 weeks to get results and Berkeley doesn’t send out acceptances until the end of March (for US freshman applicants … I’m not sure when international applicants are notified).

If you are applying to the College of Engineering, SAT 2’s are highly recommended. The College of Chemistry probably recommends it too, but I’m not positive. Letters and Science does NOT. My son was admitted and did not take any SAT 2’s.

I think that, for the most part, they compare you to other students from your own school, both past and present applicants. There might be some way they normalize transcripts and compare students against the entire applicant pool, but I don’t know how they would do that.

Good luck!
