I posted this also in UCB’s forum, but I thought I’d post it here too. I’m using L&S requirements and where it asks for any additional information regarding fulfilling the breadth requirements. There I wrote the courses I’m using to fulfill the four courses in the arts and humanities, social sciences, phyiscal/biological sciences. When I called admissions to check it was a bit confusing- I think I misheard, but now I’m not sure if I also describe the prereqs I took for my major?
Do you have the extra form that has you list classes you’ve taken for the pre reqs? Or do you just have the breadth form?
I only have the breadth form? I think? Is there a major prereq one on myberkeley application that I just overlooked?
It may be different. Where are you transferring from?
For example as a CC transfer, I have ‘Breadth Requirements’, a ‘Major Prerequisites’, and a ‘UC Transferable Courses Summary’ forms.
I’m transferring from OOS. Interesting… I only have the Breadth form!
Maybe the UCB reps you talked to thought you were a CC transfer.
Since you are OOS, it would be hard for you to determine which classes will fulfill pre reqs, so it makes since that they don’t give you that form.
Fill everything out as completely as possible, and don’t worry about major pre reqs. If you want to be extra through though, you could say something along the lines of “I’ve taken the closes possible classes to match Berkeley’s major prerequisites for my major, etc”. Listing every class might take up to much space!
