So excited!! Even though I’m still waiting for other schools, I’m glad we’re hearing back from Cal tomorrow 
has anybody toured UCB? what were your thoughts? i’ve been to the Oakland area but never on UCB’s campus directly

@90smix I went down there for a couple of days now to film a project with their film department, even got a chance to stay in their dorms. Unit 1 definitely had nice rooms (where is stayed). Overall the campus is very nice, the architecture gets prettier the closer you get to the center of campus, and in general, the place is very clean. The surrounding area of Berkeley is nice, quite a lot to do and there is a BART entrance just south of campus. Downsides are its on a giant hill, and parking really really sucks.
@90smix UCLA is way nicer in my opinion. I live in the bay and go to Berkeley to see my friends often but tbh the campus isn’t that nice. On cloudy days it feels depressing and some surrounding areas are shady
@90smix UC Berkeley has a beautiful campus and I agree with @JakeC23 on the architecture. It’s not as bike-friendly because of the hill (most people walk) but there’s way more green (trees, grass, etc.) than UCLA or UCSB. It’s also very large. Keep in mind that although you have 10 minutes to get from class to class, sometimes that’s not enough. I was always running from one to the other and never made it to my next class on time.
Also, for anyone who gets in, you should definitely visit the campus and talk with some students before deciding where you want to go and if it’s a good fit for you. I think a lot of students (myself included) are blinded by the prestige and don’t think about what it’s actually going to be like.

I know the results have gone out yet but Im in misery at the moment.
I am an international student from oos community college in virginia. Every since I got here in the United States (2years ago) I have always wanted to go to Berkeley. Due to personal issues, I could not go to a california community college.
Im sad because I applied with a 4.0 GPA /63 credits +18 this semester, took all the recommended courses(at least I think it is) and havent gotten my decision yet for computer science in UC Irvine . The results for Berkeley is coming out tommorow and I was excited to see the results but not even getting a decision for UCI makes me sad and worried.
I though I had at least a chance because of my high GPA but I guess residency is more important
I did apply for an impacted major for UCI ( EECS for Berkeley) but U did not think it was this hard to transfer from out of state + international student.
I wish I had gone to a ccc when I first came to the United States. I did get guaranteed admission to UVA which I am proud of but still, it hurts that the UCs dont have interest in me.
It will hurt but I was glad that I could have at least tried to get into the UCs. There is 24 hours left but I have lost my hope…
@SKYDMZ UCI only released decisions for TAG and H2H, because you’re out of state, I’m assuming you aren’t either of these. Other than that, they haven’t released any decisions. Even out of all the UCs, the only ones that have released as far as I know are UCM, UCSB, and UCSC. As long as you didn’t apply to any of those, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.
@gokingsgo1999 I saw someone earlier mentioning that last year they came out at 3:30. But the only official notice we have is that it comes out before midnight… so… ya know… lets hope for 3:30
