I was looking at that too. But then I got confused because if you click on that major then UCB, then the GPA range is different from UCB and the section in Environmental Economics and Policy in CNR. Then I clicked on other colleges and it shows me the same GPA range. So, I wasn’t sure if the GPA range for Environmental Economics and Policy is 3.47-3.8 anymore.
So in case anyone was wondering, decisions come out April 19th, 2019. 138 days from today
Does anyon know if Berkeley takes transfer students who are not CCC? Anyone familiar with that process?
@littlepuppy503 they do but priority is given to community college students
Hey all! Have any of you received an email from Berkeley with your portal id? From my understanding, we are supposed to receive the email in January since we’re transfers. However, I received mine today…seems kind of fast.
I received mine too. I think it’s normal for Cal. I applied for the EEP major but I’m not sure if I applied in College of Letters and Sciences or CNR. Is there any way to check?
That’s the thing, on the cal website it says that transfer students receive their portal id until January. that’s why I’m confused.
Late reply but thank you @Ohm888! Nice to hear, thanks for the info.
I haven’t received an email yet. I thought we receive it the end of this month. What does the email say?
@AMETHYST1399 the email basically states that they have received out application and it is currently under review. we also received out id #… did you get it?
Hello, I am a computer science major but applying to UCB as applied mathematics. So I have completed standard cs courses as well as the entire physics series.
CCC Transfer: College of San Mateo
Major: applied mathematics
IGETC: complete by spring 2019
Major Prep: complete by spring 2019
GPA: 3.77
ECs: not much, nothing spectacular
Essays: talked about passion for problem solving, side coding projects, future goals/plans.
@goldencub I’m having trouble trying to message you but I am majoring in Philosophy and would love some insight!
Hello
California Community College transfer
Major: Chemistry B.S.
GPA: 4.00
UC GPA: 4.00
Total units so far: 88 units (I used to be not good at math/science so I had to start all the way from college algebra& trigonometry and had to take all the introductory science classes)
Prerequisites and igetc will be finished by spring 2019 (need to take one more organic chemistry and general physics class for my major prerequisite/ igetc is not required for my major but I’m just gonna try to finish it just in case! )
Extracurriculars: attended 1-week research at UC Irvine, an active member of the school chemistry club
Job/Work Experience: Worked 30hours/week as a shift leader at a restaurant chain
Volunteer/Community service: Rescued abandoned dogs from the road and took care of them. Tutored my classmates. Also wrote about some volunteer activities I did at chemistry club
Personal Statement: I wrote about the death of my 15year dog a week before the final and how I overcame and managed to still get all A’s (may sound cliche but that was my story so…).
Wrote about being an immigrant from Korea (learning English)
Wrote about how my passion for chemistry developed from my personal experience. While taking care of rescued dogs, I realized that veterinary drugs are not readily available, unlike humans drugs. and said the fact that a lot of animals’ suffering from incurable diseases has inspired me to pursue chemistry for my major.
Ethnicity: Asian

Weaknesses:
-
don’t have much e.c. because I was always working full time

Please chance me I’m so nervous these days :((
