UC Berkeley Fall 2019 Transfer Thread

Waitlisted

RIP didn’t get in. My major was Psych and my gpa was 3.91 but my major prep wasn’t completed.

ACCEPTED LEGAL STUDIES 3.65!

GUTTED
I guess that bad semester from 2010 came back to haunt me. FFFFFFF

Hi guys I just have a question. I’m currently on the waitlist right now (Media Studies, 3.66) and I’m still waiting on UCSD to get back to me. Berkeley is my first choice and assuming UCSD admits me, do I have to make a choice between staying on the waitlist and accepting UCSD’s offer?

Rejected!

Poli. sci. major with a GPA of around 3.6-3.7. I went to a CSU before enrolling in a CCC. Got accepted into UCI, UCSB, and UCD, so not too sad lol.

Also, congrats to everyone who got in

I am also curious about this :frowning: admitted for Spring 2020

rejected to college of Natural Resources
gpa 3.19 at cc from so cal
major: Genetics and Plant Biology.
organic chem and bio series on assist I have not started yet but states to finish courses before applying, so expected. Anybody know if it’s worth to just stick to cc one more year to do the science courses re apply or go to university I was accepted to and move on with life.

accepted to biochem at UC R, chem at sdsu, chem at csu lb, chem at HSU, chem at cal poly slo.

obligatory stats bc my gpa is relatively low

ACCEPTED
3.71 chemical engineering, in state transferring from CC
pre-reqs: completed, 34 units done + 19 IP (the rest of the 60 unit req is fulfilled by APs)
IGETC: NOT done
essays: clearly what got me in - extensive volunteer work and self led research project. also highlighted that I am a first year CC student and was/am taking an excess amount of STEM only units.

i am absolutely over the moon. i never thought I’d be able to transfer in especially after one year. none of my other schools even matter anymore, all there is left is to grind out this semester and summer sem.

Rejected
HAAS (Business Administration)
College transferring from: Pepperdine University
GPA: 3.71 (Got “A” in all the Business classes that I have taken: Financial Accounting, Business Calculus, Business Statistics, and Organizational Behavior)
Units completed: 62 units after Spring semester+AP
Pre-reqs completed: missing UC’s second English course (Pepperdine does not offer it and I spent my freshman year summer interning instead of taking this course at a community college)
Essay: 9/10 (Spent more than two months working on it)
Resume: 9/10 (impressive internship expereinces+on-campus job)

Comments: I am not too surprised because of the missing English prereqs. UCSD and UCI are more lenient on admitting applicants with missing prereqs. Hopefully, I will hear good news soon.

Given the competitiveness of HAAS, I won’t be too surprised if I still could not get in with that English finished.

Anyways, my main focus now is USC and Emory, as they (private schools) don’t care too much about missing one or two prereqs as long as they see you as a good fit.

Accepted!
