My top choice is Berkeley but was always depressed because California Community Colleges get prior choices ( I heard almost 90% transfer). I have guaranteed transfer to UVA but Berkeley is a more engineering focused school and I think I would be able to have more job opportunities because of silicon valley.
I came to America about a year ago for university from asia and Berkeley is my dream school… I like physics so I applied to EECS and also saw that EECS accepts more people. I thought I might have a better chance and hope I could get in. If anyone has information about out of state transfers I would appreciate it if you guys share your ideas! Thanks!!
@DaemonTargaryen I transferred to Berkeley last semester for EECS from a community college just like you and I think you have a great chance of getting accepted. I had everything completed even CS61B from the strongly recommended. However, I know a lot of transfer students who got accepted without any of the strongly recommended. Just keep doing what you’re doing and keep getting the best grades possible.
Hey guys, been following these threads for about 3 years now so excited that it’s finally my time to post.

Weaknesses:
5 Ws
3 Fs replaced with A’s (F’s are due to not wanting to drop because I would have to pay back the government for my GI Bill and just replaced with an A to get my GPA up instead)
How does the UC’s calculate pass/no pass grades for transfer applicants. Do they just ignore them or put them into consideration? Do they convert them into the lowest grades for that category? (Pass is C/No Pass is F)
